I’ve been working on music for about a year now. Armando Ledesma a.k.a Mickey Roarr was the first person that I have worked on music with. After only a short time span of about a year; we have already managed to obtain a variety of skills to become successful with our music. I feel that in order to take a more serious step into the music industry we need to market ourselves and make sure we are getting plenty of exposure. Currently our only forms of exposure are word of mouth, Facebook, and YouTube. In order to increase our exposure I plan on learning how to build a website through wordpress; with the website we will be able to show fans upcoming shows, mixtapes, e.p’s, or local radio interviews. I will have to research and view tutorials since I’ll be learning how to build it from scratch.

Nice proposal letter, Jayy. Can you link to some of your YouTube videos from this blog? Your next step will be a production timeline (including time you will spend acquiring Wordpress skills and techniques) and choosing a Monday before the end of this month for a preliminary critique in class. Also, it would be a good idea to start talking about marketing, both regionally (a story in the Mail-Tribune or Caminos?) and nationally (music magazines and websites). Maybe bring in José and other business buddies into that part of the conversation/preparation...
